Glock G21SF 45 Auto (ACP) 4.61" Black Nitrite Pistol - 10+1 Bullets - Countless law enforcement units rely on the Glock G21SF pistol, so this powerful, lightweight, all-weather workhorse it has become standard issue. The SF model reduces the bulk of the rear receiver, or "backstrap," providing increased comfort and control, especially for shooters with smaller hands. So, without much fanfare, I began researching my first Springfield XD Service Model firearm. But when I showed up at Gunstore, I realized there were a lot of options. An OD Gen 3 G21 came into my hands and I fell in love but haven't bought one yet. Although my first gun (simply the first signature of the three, the other two being the gen 3 G17 and G22), this older non-sf gen3 brought it home in black. Dry shooting quickly confirmed that the tungsten rod was my preference and at the time Sig just wasn't offering enough or cheap enough. 2.5k rds later it remains my favorite gun, probably my favorite firearm. For me, simple, properly designed execution, not upscaling or other cut-down models, has always been why I chose and continue to prefer Glock. The tungsten rod balances the lighter magazine loads and makes my drills consistent.

What Gen Is My Glock

For me, it doesn't get any better. My opinion is that the Glock 21 is the best .45. Although slightly overbuilt (same frame as the Glock 20 in 10mm), this is not necessarily a bad thing. The extra beef means you can put plenty of ammo through it all day long. Length isn't necessarily an issue for concealed carry, and with the proper holster system you can wear it all day without too much discomfort. Trust me. I have and it's not that big of a deal. The smaller you are in .45, the more the gun jumps and the less accuracy and stability you have in your hand. Any bigger and, for me at least, it becomes a hidden carry problem. I plan to buy another one with my next paycheck. And after 27 years of concealed carry the .45 is still the best bolt action and the Glock is still the best pistol system I can think of. This is a well worth investment for defensive carry. I hope this helps you.

I just bought my second Glock 21. This gun is much easier to carry than one might expect. It weighs less than a 1911 and holds more ammo. With a suitable cover, it can be easily hidden. This is a serious thing to think about. The smaller the weapon, the more it bounces. This leads to a control problem that can be solved with a larger gun that can dampen recoil and help accuracy. I hope this helps you.

After wearing my 21 daily for a few weeks, I realized it's not the problem many would say it is. At 28.26 ounces, it's about 11 ounces lighter than a full-size 1911 and about 8 ounces lighter than a Commander. It also carries more ammo. I bought a belt holster and with a good belt I've gotten to the point where I don't feel any tugging or tugging and I don't have to pinch my pants all day. Although it is a large gun, it is very well balanced and fills my hand nicely with a modular grip extension. Also, to reiterate, it's slightly overbuilt (same frame as the 20 in 10mm), but that's not so bad when you consider it can chew and spit out +p ammo with no problem.

So. If you think of the 21 as a concealed carry pistol, that's not bad at all. Just get yourself a good heel and belt. I hope this helps you.

Don't Glock Yourself: A Review Of The Striker Control Device

I've had my Glock 21 for 3 years now, I've put 1,300 rounds through it with no problems. I have a tungsten rod assembly, a machined slide stop handle, and a clip to pull my belt in the small of my back. I have a Colt 1911 and while it is a good shooter, the Glock is my favorite. It comes off much easier than the 1911. However, you have to be careful when chambering one. I put my finger on the trigger once while putting on my belt and if I had it in the chamber it might have blown my ass. I practice getting it out and am confident in my ability to get it out quickly.

Worth every penny I never regret a purchase but hey it's a Glock so what else is there to say I love people who spend 400 more and then beat the Glock when the Glock beats the bucks every time . This 45 is flawless and runs that way every time

You can hide this carry easily. I wrap my nose which also has a viridian laser and +2 Pierce extensions. CT me as well as Dara make fine holsters and also stealth gear. Stealth gear is a great heeler for pants.

Glock 21 Gen4 .45 Pistol With Glock Night Sights

Great gun, not much recoil. I chewed everything in the first sitting. When clearing in Gen 4 after the safety check, you must aim down, pull the trigger, pull the side tabs, pull the slide. The firing pin is forward and must be to retract the slide. Countless Glock owners with the same problem. They have to deal with internal security mechanics. I wish it was in the manual or someone told me. It's not a big deal. Excellent gun with accuracy and reliability.

I want to emphasize what a wonderful weapon this is. The sliding assembly is a mute point. Some guns need a key, some have a switch, and some have a lever. It has a thick slider in relative terms compared to other models, but it is 0.45. The weight definitely absorbs the rounds. It feels a touch heavier than the 19. The trigger pull was typical of a Glock but is smooth with a nice click and reset. It was a lot of fun to shoot. Big bullets, big sound, but easy to keep on target and reacquire my target. Again, a great gun. You will not be disappointed.

I own and carry my G21 gen 4 daily, never had a problem with mine, have always been an accurate shooter. If you are on the fence, buy it, you won't regret it. I like the fact that it's 13 +1 and I carry an extra magazine just in case, because it's better to have it and not need it, than to need it and not have it.
